Bearing the name of one of the greatest families in circus history can be an advantage in terms of recognition, but it presents a formidable challenge when it comes to establishing oneself in an artistic career. Sampion Bouglione Junior has chosen to meet this challenge in his own way. Like most members of the family, his parents, Thierry and Sandrine, worked with big cats. Sampion knows what that entails in terms of hours of work for their care and maintenance.
Il a choisi d’être jongleur mais dans un registre très personnel qui associe la danse de claquettes qu’il apprit dès l’âge de 9 ans, l’acrobatie qu’il pratiqua en famille et le jonglage au rebond. C’est avec Italo Medini, un des plus grands jongleurs de son époque, qu’il a appris à faire rebondir les balles – il en lance jusqu’à neuf.
In 2007, alone in the middle of the immense big top of the Cirque Flic Flac, he was already displaying that inimitable stage presence that is the hallmark of his family. Since then, he has won gold at the Massy Festival in 2012, silver in Kazakhstan, and bronze in Latina (Italy) and Budapest. In 2012, he was a finalist on the Russian version of Britain's Got Talent.
