These are three young women whose size is inversely proportional to their skill and the grace of their movements. Perhaps their Indian heritage has given them the flexibility of Bollywood dancers: Bebby, the first, was joined by Mala, who came from England, and then by Jumba, from another Italian circus. Their trainer, Elvis Errani, was born into a long line of circus performers in his native Italy. He chose to present his students gently, to demonstrate in the ring the unwavering bond between him and his gray giants.
Au cirque, posséder des animaux, c’est s’astreindre à s’en occuper 24 heures sur 24 et toute l’année. Il faut les veiller la nuit quand ils sont malades et sentir de quoi ils ont besoin. Durant une grande partie du numéro, Elvis travaille uniquement à la voix et indique avec ses mains nues les exercices que chacun doit exécuter. C’est le résultat de nombreuses heures d’un travail de communication, la seule solution pour obtenir de ces animaux, les plus puissants de la création, une obéissance positive.
