Le trapèze Washington est une forme d’acrobatie aérienne qui porte le nom de son créateur H.R. Keyes Washington qui, vers 1870, imagina d’effectuer des équilibres sur la barre de son agrès. Alain Alegria ne se contente pas de se tenir en équilibre sur la tête ou sur une chaise, il tente d’autres exploits encore plus périlleux. « Je me nourris de cette ambiance électrique que je communique à mon public » déclare-t-il dans ses interviews. Ils appartient à une grande dynastie du cirque mexicain.
Her grandfather José Alegria founded the Alegria circus in 1914 and her grandmother Concha Zamudio was known as "Dama del trapecio". Alain occurred at the Gran Circo Tihany, at Atayde or Vasquez in Mexico and in Europe at Flic-Flac or Roncalli. We saw it in 2011 in the virtuoso show of the Paris winter circus.
In Europe we have known its cousins in particular Sabu, which also excelled in trapeze Washington, Francesco on the wheel of death and the Ottavio and Arturo jugglers.
